Knox County, Maine officials was mandated to discipline five within their finest after things got out of hand in a bachelor party on Labor Day weekend last season. The groom-to-be was Tasered, hogtied, then stun gun pen covered with oil, topped with feathers and paraded in the downtown area of Camden in the back of a truck.
Even the antics were “all in good fun” some lines of propriety were crossed.
First, departmental equipment was required. Deputy John Palmer announced “a sergeant stun gun cell phone with lots of good deal experience had directed him” to grab the Taser from nearby Lincoln County (Knox County doesn’t have Tasers) and deliver it within the party as well as the sergeant was in attendance towards the event.
Second, thou shalt not violate the non-public life statutes in the Sheriff’s Department policy. They state, just, “I continue on my private life unsullied for instance to all or any and can behave in a manner that won't bring discredit opinion or my agency.”
A video inside the event was viewed having a departmental lieutenant who still did not seem inclined to accept any disciplinary action, at that moment.
All five of your Rockland, Maine deputies involved violated department policy concerning professional responsibilities and prohibited conduct.
